Paintout at England Acres Farm April 28, 2013

England Acres Farm Painting Opportunity Coordinated by Deborah Richardson

There is enough interest among the group to have a paintout at England Acres Farm on Sunday, April 28, during "Sheep Days".  Judy would like our display set up by 10:00 AM.  The Richardsons will put up the stands in the morning around 8:30. They think eight or nine stands will be enough for each artist to show two or three farm related paintings.  If you don't have farm paintings, rural landscapes would be fine.  Deborah will bring hooks on which painting will hang. Make sure the paintings have your name and price clearly marked. Each artist is responsible for taking care of the sale of there work. It is not a function of England Acres. If the weather does not look great we can set the display up in the bank barn.  There are many areas where we can paint out of the weather.

Judy has also extended an invitation to show artwork on the walls inside the market for an extended time.  Each artist can arrange that with her personally.

If you would like to go over to the farm and take pictures, England Farm Market is open on Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM till 4 PM.

Dear Artists,

Paint Out Westminster, an outdoor painting event, will be the same day as Westminster's ever popular "Flower and Jazz Festival." on historic Main St. The event will be held on Saturday, May 11, 9:30 am-3:30 pm.  There will be a reception for artists immediately after the event at the Carroll County Public Library on Main St. The completed works will be on view in the Director's Hall Gallery (now with track lighting) at the Carroll Arts Center the following week.  Further details will be emailed to all participating artists.

Please note the change in the fees. This event is free to CCAC members/$10 to non members.

About 15 artists participated in last year's event. It was very popular with the visitors to the Flower and Jazz Festival as well as followers of plein air events.  This is a delightful event for both participants and the public.

Applications are now online.
