May-July exhibits at Brunswick, Thurmont and
Urbana libraries.
The shows
will run from May 4 until July 31. If a
painting is sold the artist may hang another in its place but paintings are not
to be removed to put in other shows.
Volunteers
who have indicated an interest in planning a reception for the show(s) should
work out plans with the curator for that show so that information can be
included in publicity.Curators are Sharron Smih, Urbana; Paula Rubin-Wexler, Thurmont and Vicki Michael, Brunswick.
May 18 is a
special art day for the libraries in recognition of the opening of the
Brunswick gallery space. It would be
nice if more folks would be able to paint at the libraries and/or help with
children’s activities. (The libraries have great spots for painting.)

There will be a reception for the Brunswick Library Exhibit. This will be held in conjunction with the unveiling of their permanent collection (two paintings at this time) on May 17th from 7pm to 9pm. This ties in with their anniversary celebration on May 18th and the FCAA exhibit. All food/drinks/etc. are arranged so we only need to attend. RSVP to Vicki by May 10th.
